HELLOOOO I'm here with another blog!!! This time, I had a subject in mind I wanted to talk a bout a bit tho before that I want to talk about my day as usual hehehe
Right now I'm currently drinking some tea and listening to a playlist I've made like two days ago, I feel really proud of how this playlist turned out tbh, I made it while thinking of how my teen years have felt and it came out being a lil personal but still I feel its a nice playlist to listen to, it has a total of 45 songs which I find a pretty decent number
Just this morning (rarely, I woke up in the morning...) I updated something on my spacehey profile I've been DYING to update and its my album recomendation list! A small text box on the "music" section on the about me underneath the basic profile information that includes embeded widgets of different albums I've fully listened to and recomend to anyone who's checking on my profile, I want to mention a few of the albums/EP's I've got in the list here:
I first heard about this album when I was casually browsing on bandcamp, since I enjoy checking out music and specially newer uploads, I keep track of my collection of 'heard/listened' albums, singles and EP's; and the cover caught my attention, so I imediately (emediately? how do you spell this?) started listening to it. While listening I read the description of the album that appears on the website and found it very interesting:
'Funny Funky Rib Crib' by Byard Lancaster Jazz, Funk / Soul
“Funny Funky Rib Crib” is an unforgettable recording (made up of several sessions dating from the middle of 1974) of creative jazz overwhelmed by funk and soul.
My favorite tracks of the album are 'Work And Pray' and 'Loving Kindness'. I fully agree on this album being unforgettable! It was a great delight to listen when I first found it online and its first on my recomendations list on my profile!
'Endlessness' by Nala Sinephro Electronic, Jazz
Find it on: Discogs, Bandcamp, SpotifyJust like the previous album, I found out about its existence through Bandcamp while browsing on newly released uploads, I really liked the album cover's artwork and decided to give it a try, oh boy, best thing I could've done! As soon as I hit the play button I found myself with one of my favorite experiences; as I listened I felt as all my mind's worries slowly faded away as I listened to each track, truly a great experience in my opinion!
My favorite tracks are deffo: 'Continuum 3', 'Continuum 5' and 'Continuum 9', One of my favorite albums to relax my mind to :3
'Spooky Jazz Vol. 2' by Hannah Gill Jazz
Find it on: TurtleBayRecords, Bandcamp
After finding about this album in Bandcamp (again, on Bandcamp) I've found myself truly enjoying jazz more than I did before, this record has this kind of 'classic' feel to it, reminds me so much of old sitcoms for some reason, specifically the one's from the 60's-70's. When I first saw it on my screen I found the title a bit funny and when I looked at the artwork I thought "I need to listen to this NOW!" and I, infact, did. I do not regret it at all!! Also, found the description quite interesting aswell:
Don’t let the title fool you, this record can be played all year round! Spooky Jazz Vol 2 showcases a variety of haunted flavors all the way from enchanting blues and mesmerizing foxtrots, to songs that swing so hard they’ll wake the dead! Every song it’s guaranteed to put you in the spooky spirit no matter the time of year.
My favorite tracks of this album are 'Love Is a Necessary Evil', 'You Hurt Me' and 'That Old Black Magic'. It has become one of my favorite albums currently, I revisit it everytime I feel a bit spooky.
Those are a few of the one's I want to mention. Maybe later I'll talk fully about all records on the list, but right now I'm going to mention the new additions to the list:
- 'Cigarettes After Sex' by Cigarettes After Sex
- 'The Great Milenko' by Insane Clown Posse
- 'Spirit Orb EP' by Chloe Moriondo
- 'Nanimono (何者)' by POLKADOT STINGRAY
